Water Treatment Operator

About the role

The Water Treatment Operator will manage the operation, on‑site inspection, monitoring and minor maintenance of electrochlorination, water, wastewater and sewage treatment systems at the Toledo City plant. You will work closely with Operations, Maintenance, SHE, CSU and the Water Treatment Laboratory to ensure safe, reliable water quality and compliance with regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Operate water and wastewater treatment equipment following approved procedures to produce required water quality.
• Monitor equipment conditions, record water‑quality parameters, maintain log sheets and take corrective actions when needed.
• Ensure wastewater treatment complies with government regulations and protect water basins and chemical tanks from spillage.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, and perform minor repairs on auxiliary equipment.
• Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance activities with the Maintenance Department.

Required profile

• Entry‑level candidate with a vocational degree in Mechanical or Industrial Technology.
• At least 1 year of hands‑on experience in water and wastewater treatment operations.
• Basic understanding of plant safety, health, environment management and relevant ISO standards (9001, 14001, 45001).
• Ability to work collaboratively with chemical analysts and follow company management system policies.
