Project Officer - Climate Resilience Project, Navotas

About the role

Plan International Pilipinas, working with the Zurich Foundation, is looking for a Project Officer in Navotas City to support its climate resilience initiative. The role engages directly with communities to help them build capacity to adapt to climate change and reduce disaster risks. It is a project-based position until December 2027, reports to the Project Manager, requires fieldwork and involves competitive compensation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead community-based planning, implementation and monitoring of project activities
• Conduct participatory assessments to identify local needs, risks and priorities
• Facilitate capacity-building sessions for community members, youth groups and LGU representatives
• Mobilize and support community volunteers in implementing project interventions
• Document activities, success stories and lessons learned for knowledge sharing
• Monitor progress against project indicators and contribute to regular reporting
• Support emergency response efforts when needed

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Community Development, Social Work or a related field
• At least 2 years of experience in community organizing, project implementation or disaster risk reduction
• Strong understanding of child rights, gender equality and inclusive development
• Willingness to travel to project sites and engage with diverse communities
