Training Supervisor – Asset Maintenance

About the role

OceanaGold is seeking a qualified and reliable Training Supervisor to support the Training Superintendent in delivering a competency‑based training program for the Asset Maintenance workforce at the Didipio mine in the Philippines. The role focuses on developing training strategies, mentoring trainers, and driving continuous improvement of competency frameworks.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement long‑term training strategies aligned with organisational goals and future skill needs.
• Explore emerging technologies such as virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR) and gamification to enhance learning experiences.
• Mentor and coach trainers and facilitators on effective techniques, presentation skills and programme management.
• Lead the development and implementation of quality management systems, strategies and standards.
• Review analyses and recommendations for feasibility and operational impact before finalising recommendations.
• Define budgeting strategies using innovative financial approaches and advanced forecasting models.
• Coordinate cross‑functional initiatives to optimise resource allocation, improve financial performance and enhance ROI.
• Monitor data accuracy, conduct analyses for decision‑making and facilitate regular staff discussions on improvement opportunities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (mechanical, electrical, industrial) or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years supervisory experience in equipment maintenance.
• At least 2 years experience in a learning or training environment.
