Technician IV – Electro‑Mechanical Maintenance

About the role

Microchip Technology Inc. is seeking a Technician IV to sustain and maintain electro‑mechanical equipment, jigs, tooling and logistics across Front‑of‑Line, End‑of‑Line (Back End) and Test Assembly operations.

Key responsibilities

• Perform electrical, electronic and mechanical troubleshooting on non‑functioning manufacturing equipment.
• Execute preventive maintenance tasks as assigned.
• Dismantle, adjust, repair and re‑assemble equipment using layout plans, blueprints, manuals or sketches.
• Utilise test and diagnostic tools to conduct equipment check‑outs and rebuilds.
• Carry out equipment modifications and project work directed by engineering or supervisory staff.

Required profile

• Education in Electronics/Electrical, Electromechanical/Mechatronics, Instrumentation & Control Technology or Engineering.
• Minimum five years of experience in a semiconductor manufacturing environment, working on Front‑of‑Line, End‑of‑Line or Test Assembly.
• Willingness to extend working hours when needed and maintain a positive attitude.

Required skills

• Electro‑mechanical troubleshooting of manufacturing equipment.
• Proficiency with Windows operating system and MS Office applications.
• Basic PLC programming and operation.
• Use of test and diagnostic equipment for equipment verification.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, layout plans and technical drawings.
