Technician I – Electro‑Mechanical Equipment Maintenance

About the role

Microchip Technology is seeking a Technician I to sustain and maintain electro‑mechanical equipment, jigs, tooling, and logistics across Front‑of‑Line, End‑of‑Line (Back End) and Test Assembly operations. The role supports the manufacturing process that powers the world’s technology.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and troubleshoot electro‑mechanical equipment used in semiconductor manufacturing.
• Perform preventive maintenance (PM) tasks as assigned.
• Dismantle, adjust, repair, and re‑assemble equipment according to blueprints, manuals, or sketches.
• Use test and diagnostic tools to verify equipment functionality.
• Rebuild equipment and execute modifications or projects directed by engineering staff.

Required profile

• Education in Electronics/Electrical, Electromechanical, Mechatronics, Instrumentation & Control Technology, or Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a semiconductor company, working on Front‑of‑Line, End‑of‑Line, or Test Assembly.
• Ability to work without travel.

Required skills

• Electro‑mechanical troubleshooting.
• Proficiency with Windows operating system.
• Competence in MS Office applications.
