Tax Specialist

About the role

The Tax Specialist will join MC Spencer Group’s finance team in Metro Manila, working on‑site to ensure the company meets all tax obligations while optimizing its financial position. This full‑time role involves strategic planning, accurate filing, and continuous monitoring of tax regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute tax planning strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Prepare and file corporate, withholding and other statutory tax returns.
• Analyze financial data to identify tax implications and opportunities.
• Collaborate with internal departments to integrate tax considerations into broader financial plans.
• Monitor changes in tax legislation and advise the organization on compliance requirements.
• Ensure timely tax payments, reporting and documentation.
• Provide expert advice on tax‑related matters to support decision‑making.

Required profile

• Proficiency in tax planning and preparation with a focus on compliance.
• Strong understanding of tax law and finance.
• In‑depth knowledge of tax processes, compliance standards and regulations.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Attention to detail and capacity to manage multiple priorities.
• Professional certification in taxation or related field is a plus.
• Experience with ERP or accounting software is advantageous.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
