Tax Specialist

About the role
We are looking for a detail‑oriented Tax Specialist to join our finance team. The role involves managing the company’s tax obligations, preparing returns and providing strategic advice to support business objectives.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and file tax payments and quarterly/annual tax reports.
- Maintain and update the corporate tax database.
- Analyze tax data, identify savings opportunities and recommend strategies aligned with company goals.
- Collaborate with the accounting department to share financial information.
- Monitor industry trends and regulatory changes affecting taxes.
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors.
- Provide tax forecasts and insights to senior management.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Tax Accountant, Tax Analyst or Tax Preparer.
- Strong understanding of accounting and bookkeeping procedures.
- Excellent analytical, numeracy and time‑management abilities.
Required skills
- Proficiency with Xero accounting software.
