Tax Compliance Analyst – Hybrid (Mid Shift)

About the role

The Tax Compliance Analyst will work in a hybrid arrangement, reporting to the GM Philippines office three days a week on a mid‑shift schedule (3 PM – 12 AM). The role offers rotational exposure across multiple tax functions and is ideal for self‑starters who can manage projects to completion while communicating effectively.

Key responsibilities

• Execute monthly and annual closing activities in accordance with US GAAP.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts, including indirect tax activity.
• Create journal entries related to withholding tax, VAT and other taxes.
• Compile data for tax return filings and support internal/external tax audits.
• Prepare audit support packages and analysis for fixed assets, sales and expenses.
• Maintain SOX documentation and ensure compliance with corporate policies and external regulations.
• Interact with business units, global finance teams and controllers.
• Identify and drive process improvements, including participation in LEAN/Six Sigma projects.
• Utilise SAP (t‑codes, asset module) for high‑volume transactions.
• Support Business Continuity Planning (BCP) and Business Impact Analysis (BIA) activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain, Business or equivalent.
• Experience in a shared‑service environment with strong controllership knowledge for P&L and balance‑sheet areas.
• Solid understanding of indirect tax application within the monthly accounting cycle.
• Knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS and SOX/internal control requirements.
• Ability to work independently, take initiative and manage projects.
