Systems Administrator – Project‑Based Role

About the role

UBX, the digital‑innovation arm of UnionBank Philippines, is looking for a Systems Administrator to support its ecosystem‑focused platforms on a project basis. The role will involve planning, implementing and maintaining the IT infrastructure that underpins the company’s fintech solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in long‑range planning and manage assigned projects.
• Recommend appropriate hardware and software products based on user needs.
• Provide technical support, including evaluation, recommendation, installation and implementation of third‑party products.
• Resolve system and end‑user problems efficiently.
• Analyze system requirements and offer improvement recommendations.
• Perform corrective and preventive maintenance on systems.
• Implement procedures to optimise systems and software within the department.
• Maintain up‑to‑date documentation and records of department infrastructure.
• Develop and conduct technical transfer training programs for staff.

Required profile

• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to assess system requirements.
• Experience delivering technical support and problem resolution to end‑users.
• Proven capability to assist in strategic planning and project management.
• Excellent documentation skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to design and deliver technical training programs.
