Procurement Specialist

About the role

The Procurement Specialist will oversee the full procurement lifecycle for hardware maintenance renewals and software licensing, working closely with OEMs, distributors and internal stakeholders to secure competitive pricing and ensure timely delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end procurement process for hardware maintenance and software licensing contracts.
• Engage OEMs, distributors and vendors to obtain quotations, lead times and commercial terms.
• Evaluate and negotiate pricing, discounts and payment terms to maximise commercial value.
• Prepare and validate Bills of Materials, renewal schedules and related procurement documentation.
• Coordinate with Client Partners, Sales, Finance, Legal, Delivery and Vendor Management teams to ensure timely fulfillment.
• Process purchase requisitions, purchase orders and vendor invoices in line with TCS procurement policies.
• Track procurement status, deliveries and renewals, escalating risks that could impact project timelines.
• Maintain procurement trackers, renewal calendars, vendor databases and commercial documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Information Technology or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in IT procurement, preferably with hardware maintenance, software licensing or technology reselling.
• Proven experience working with enterprise OEMs and distributors such as Cisco, Microsoft, Red Hat, Oracle, VMware, Dell, HPE or IBM.
• Strong understanding of procurement processes, contract management and commercial negotiations.
• Experience supporting large enterprise or banking clients is an advantage.
