System Architect (Low‑code AI Platform)

About the role

Penbrothers is seeking a System Architect to own and evolve an AI‑driven, low‑code application ecosystem. The role focuses on designing, orchestrating, and maintaining interconnected tools and workflows that power automated reporting and data processing.

Key responsibilities

• Take ownership of the existing AI‑enabled low‑code system architecture and ensure its stability.
• Maintain and improve end‑to‑end workflows across tools such as Make, Tally, Airtable, GPT integrations, PDF Monkey, Google Drive, and Netlify.
• Support and enhance multi‑step automation workflows with light conditional logic.
• Identify and resolve system brittleness, gaps, and operational inefficiencies.
• Improve system reliability, monitoring, and error handling.
• Introduce and evaluate new AI tools, agents, and automation solutions.
• Collaborate on AI‑generated processes including data extraction, synthesis, and report generation.
• Provide occasional JavaScript‑level logic support.
• Recommend tooling, architecture, and workflow design improvements.
• Guide the gradual evolution of the platform toward a more structured engineering stack.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience in a similar role.
• Strong experience with low‑code/no‑code platforms (e.g., Make).
• Deep understanding of system architecture and workflow design.
• Hands‑on experience with AI tools such as GPT or other LLM‑based workflows.
• Ability to manage and connect multiple SaaS tools into a unified system.
• Solid grasp of data flow between systems and lightweight DBA concepts.
• Comfortable working with automation logic, APIs, and integrations.
• Problem‑solving mindset focused on system stability and scalability.
• Ability to work independently.
