Supply Chain Manager – Supermarket Operations

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Supply Chain Manager to lead and optimise the end‑to‑end supply chain of our supermarket network in the Philippines. The role ensures consistent product availability, especially for high‑demand and perishable items, while controlling costs and upholding food safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee procurement, inventory, warehousing and distribution across all supermarket branches.
• Maintain product availability, minimise stock‑outs and overstocking, and manage replenishment cycles.
• Develop and implement strategies to improve efficiency, reduce costs and enhance service levels.
• Manage relationships with suppliers, distributors and logistics providers.
• Monitor inventory levels, turnover, shrinkage and lead times; track KPIs such as fill rate and service level.
• Coordinate demand planning with Category Buyers, Merchandising and Store Operations.
• Handle logistics and distribution planning to ensure timely store deliveries.
• Implement best practices for handling fresh, frozen and chilled products.
• Identify risks, create contingency plans and ensure compliance with food safety and regulatory requirements.
• Lead, develop and coach the supply chain team for continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration or related field.
• 5–8 years of experience in supply chain, logistics or operations, preferably in supermarket/retail.
• Proven experience managing warehouse and distribution operations.
• Strong analytical, planning and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, high‑volume retail environment.
