Supply Chain Manager – Retail & Supermarket Operations

About the role

Spinneys Philippines is seeking an experienced Supply Chain Manager to lead and optimise the end‑to‑end supply chain for its supermarket network. The role focuses on procurement, logistics, import, warehousing and distribution, ensuring product availability while controlling costs.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee procurement, inventory, warehousing and distribution processes across all supermarket branches.
• Manage import and freight operations to guarantee timely delivery of goods.
• Maintain consistent product availability, minimising stock‑outs and overstock situations.
• Develop and implement strategies to improve efficiency, reduce costs and enhance service levels.
• Coordinate with Category Buyers, Merchandising and Store Operations for demand planning and forecasting.
• Handle logistics and distribution planning, ensuring on‑time store deliveries.
• Implement best practices for perishable goods (fresh, frozen, chilled) handling.
• Track and report key supply chain KPIs such as fill rate, lead time, service level and cost efficiency.
• Identify risks and create contingency plans to avoid supply disruptions.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, quality standards and regulatory requirements.
• Lead, coach and develop the supply chain team to drive continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration or related field.
• 5–8 years of experience in supply chain, logistics or operations, preferably in supermarket/retail.
• Proven experience managing warehouse and distribution operations.
• Strong analytical, planning and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, high‑volume retail environment.
