Head of Commercial Supply Chain Management

About the role

The Head of Commercial Supply Chain Management will lead the integration of commercial, marketing and sales strategies with end‑to‑end supply chain operations across the Operating Business Unit (OPU). You will ensure product availability, cost efficiency and regulatory compliance while driving business growth and supporting the OPU sales objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Balance supply chain costs, product availability and inventory levels.
• Coordinate replenishment planning and manage supply planning for locally sourced finished goods.
• Develop and retain Commercial Supply Chain Management (CSCM) talent.
• Oversee performance management of direct reports and drive CSCM performance.
• Lead launch and change coordination of CSCM workflows and collect requirements for CSC applications.
• Own local sales and operations planning, conducting demand‑supply reviews and portfolio management.
• Ensure master data accuracy, conduct annual portfolio segmentation and define parameterization strategies.
• Act as Export Control Expert when required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree required; MSc or MBA is a plus.
• 5‑8 years of supply chain management experience in the life‑science industry, preferably with FMCG exposure.
• Proven leadership skills in a supply chain environment.
• Professional level expertise in downstream supply chain management and data analytics.
• Strong knowledge of trade regulations, 3rd‑party logistics and financial business planning.

Required skills

• APICS certification (or equivalent).
• PMI or Prince2 certification (preferred).
• Data analytics expertise.
• In‑depth knowledge of trade regulations and 3rd‑party logistics management.
