Strategic Buyer

About the role

Littelfuse is seeking a Strategic Buyer to lead the sourcing of commodities and raw materials that power our innovative electrical solutions. You will work cross‑functionally to drive cost reduction, secure reliable supply, and support new product development.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategies for cost reduction, second‑source qualification, and localization.
• Manage projects against defined targets and timelines.
• Negotiate payment terms and ensure payment accuracy.
• Support new product development by identifying and qualifying alternate sources.
• Organize supplier assessments, audits, and risk‑mitigation activities.
• Resolve critical supply issues without disrupting production.
• Maintain SAP supply‑base data, including source lists and purchase information records.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Business or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of procurement experience, including sourcing, negotiation, and supplier management.
• Direct material sourcing experience in electronics, automotive, electrical or related industries.
• Strong analytical and communication abilities.
• Proven capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint.
• Experience with SAP or other ERP platforms.
