About the role
The Solutions Design Manager is responsible for designing and planning the internal layout of Maersk warehouses. The role focuses on optimizing warehouse efficiency, space utilization, and product flow while applying lean concepts.
Key responsibilities
- Design and plan warehouse layouts, product flow, and handling systems.
- Apply lean principles to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
- Ensure efficient operation, product accessibility, and segregation of different product types.
- Use computer‑aided design tools such as AutoCAD to create detailed plans.
- Coach and mentor less experienced staff and oversee work of lower‑level professionals.
Required profile
- Previous experience in warehouse design or a related technical field.
- Ability to work independently within defined boundaries and seek supervision on complex tasks.
- Strong practical knowledge of methods, techniques, and processes for warehouse solutions.
- Capability to evaluate and select appropriate solutions from known alternatives.
Required skills
- Proficiency with AutoCAD or similar CAD software.
