Software Development Engineer – Mid‑Level

About the role

The Software Development Engineer (SDE) is a mid‑level technical role responsible for delivering features and ensuring code quality within a Scrum team. The SDE builds scalable applications, writes automated tests, and collaborates closely with product owners, designers and engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and enhance scalable applications as part of a cross‑functional Scrum team.
• Conduct structured peer code reviews to enforce coding standards and architectural guidelines.
• Write comprehensive unit tests and maintain high test coverage.
• Build and maintain automated test suites integrated into CI/CD pipelines.
• Participate in backlog refinement, sprint planning, reviews and retrospectives.
• Refactor and optimise existing codebases for performance and maintainability.
• Troubleshoot complex issues and perform root‑cause analysis.
• Maintain clear technical documentation for feature behavior, validations and design decisions.
• Contribute to improving development processes and engineering best practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering or a related field.
• 1‑3 years of experience working in Agile/Scrum development teams.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail.
• Effective collaboration and communication within cross‑functional teams.
