Software Development Engineer in Test

About the role

Join Macquarie’s Technology Team as a Software Development Engineer in Test. You will work across multiple projects, collaborating with stakeholders and automation engineers to ensure high‑quality delivery of financial technology solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse requirements and design comprehensive test plans and test cases.
• Develop and maintain automated test solutions and frameworks.
• Validate that project deliverables meet quality standards and resolve defects before deployment.
• Contribute to process‑improvement initiatives, increasing automation and reducing manual testing effort.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in software testing and test automation, preferably in Financial Technology.
• Hands‑on experience testing applications in an Agile/Scrum environment, covering functional, end‑to‑end, regression, performance and automation testing.
• Proven ability to design automation frameworks and test scripts for complex, multi‑interface applications.
• Strong communication, analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to lead testing activities.
