Social Media Manager (Instagram & TikTok, Remote)

About the role

An Australian personal branding and social media agency that works with high-profile entrepreneurs, business owners and industry experts is hiring a Social Media Manager. The role is 100% remote, full-time and paid AUD $2,500 per month; the candidate is an independent contractor reporting to 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM Australian time.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and schedule social media content across several client and personal branding accounts, mainly Instagram.
• Maintain content calendars in Excel so clients always have a 2-3 month pipeline of scheduled content.
• Organise and repurpose content such as reels, lifestyle content, personal branding posts and piece-to-camera videos.
• Prepare posts for publishing, review hooks and captions, and use AI tools to help with captions and hooks.
• Publish consistently according to each client's strategy and engage with posts, groups and communities, sharing client content to boost reach.
• Monitor trends and emerging formats, flagging opportunities to the client and recommending new content.
• Repurpose Instagram content for TikTok and support basic video editing and content production.
• Work closely with the client to understand each account's strategy and position, and take direction while executing tasks independently.

Required profile

• At least 5 years of experience in social media management and content creation, preferably with personal brands, entrepreneurs, creators or public-facing professionals.
• Strong hands-on experience managing Instagram accounts and understanding of engagement and publishing.
• Experience with TikTok and cross-platform content management.
• Comfortable working with confidential account access and handling profiles responsibly.

Required skills

• Excel or spreadsheets for content calendars and workflows.
• Canva, Adobe Creative Suite or similar tools for basic content creation.
• Social media scheduling and publishing tools.
• Basic video editing or content production skills.
• Strong research skills and awareness of current social media trends.
