Senior Technical Specialist - Systems

About the role

The Senior Technical Specialist – Systems is responsible for the day‑to‑day provisioning, installation, configuration, operation and maintenance of Surbana Jurong’s global IT infrastructure. The role supports help‑desk teams, leads technical issue resolution and drives continuous improvement across hardware, software and network services.

Key responsibilities

• Provide desktop support via telephone, email, Lync or TeamViewer and act as an escalation point for the service desk.
• Identify, troubleshoot and resolve systems, security and network problems for global users.
• Monitor and support IT infrastructure operations according to the IT Operations Service Catalogue.
• Participate in after‑hours and holiday on‑call support rotations.
• Create and update operational documentation, policies and procedures.
• Maintain patch‑management and availability‑management processes for global IT operations.
• Assist with the acquisition, installation, maintenance and hand‑over of infrastructure systems.
• Support implementation of new technologies such as virtualization, performance monitoring tools and data‑backup solutions.
• Contribute to security measures including Active Directory, anti‑virus and patch management.
• Perform cost analyses and provide purchasing recommendations within budget.
• Execute disaster‑recovery procedures and data‑backup activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or college degree in a related field.
• Significant experience in systems administration and global IT operations.
• Proven ability to supervise associate or technical specialist resources.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities.
