Senior Tax Accountant – Remote (100% Work From Home)

About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Tax Accountant to work 100% from home on a full‑time independent contractor basis. You will own client files from start to finish, ensuring flawless tax compliance for individuals, partnerships, trusts, and corporations under Australian law.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review Australian tax returns for various entity types in line with ATO requirements.
• Take full ownership of client files, including workpapers, reconciliations, and final tax return preparation.
• Maintain complete, accurate, and well‑documented workpapers that fully support tax positions.
• Conduct thorough tax research and apply relevant legislation to compliance and advisory tasks.
• Stay current with Australian tax regulations and ensure ongoing compliance across engagements.
• Analyze financial information and produce clear reports for tax planning and advisory outcomes.
• Communicate effectively with internal team members to gather information, clarify issues, and provide guidance.

Required profile

• Extensive experience preparing Australian tax returns for individuals, partnerships, trusts, and corporations.
• Ability to work independently, manage full client lifecycles, and commit exclusively to this role.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering immaculate, end‑to‑end work.
• Availability during AEST business hours for meetings and collaboration.
