Senior System Administrator – Web Applications

About the role

The Senior System Administrator is a core member of Pronet Gaming’s infrastructure team, responsible for managing and optimizing the company’s IT environment. The role focuses on operating system and network management, backup strategy, security hardening, and automation through in‑house scripts to ensure high performance and reliability of web‑based applications.

Key responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and monitor Linux operating systems.
• Configure, maintain, and monitor network structures.
• Identify and debug malfunctioning programs affecting system integrity and performance.
• Adapt system and network architectures to evolving business needs.
• Create and manage autonomous system backups.
• Set up and maintain system monitoring environments to ensure availability.
• Regularly update and enforce system security protocols.
• Provide on‑call system monitoring during out‑of‑office hours and weekends.

Required profile

• Proven work experience with Linux‑based operating systems.
• Strong understanding of networking concepts and monitoring tools.
• Hands‑on experience with web‑based technologies, preferably Java.
• Experience with VMware virtualization platforms.
• Excellent problem‑solving abilities and a proactive attitude toward automation.
• Willingness to participate in scheduled on‑call duties.
