Senior Software Engineer

About the role

As a Senior Software Engineer you will be a key contributor to Angkas' software development team, driving technical excellence and shaping core architecture. You will work on high‑scale, event‑driven systems and mentor junior engineers while participating in a 24x7 on‑call rotation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead design and implementation of complex, secure software solutions.
• Architect and optimise Kafka‑based event‑driven systems.
• Provide technical leadership for Kubernetes deployments and micro‑services architecture.
• Optimise Redis for performance, scalability and fault tolerance.
• Design and tune PostgreSQL schemas, queries and indexing strategies.
• Build, run and maintain production services, including on‑call duties.
• Mentor and guide junior and mid‑level engineers.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong ability to teach and demonstrate clean, maintainable code.
• Experience with high‑scalability and high‑availability systems.
