Senior Pega Engineer

About the role

As a Senior Pega Developer, you will lead the design and implementation of complex Pega applications, covering workflows, integrations and system optimisation. You will join the Pega Manila Center of Excellence (CoE), which delivers scalable Pega solutions for business domains such as Wholesale Banking and Retail. You will work in a squad with your Product Owner and Junior Developers, report to your Chapter Lead and mentor junior developers.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of complex Pega applications, with robust workflows, user interfaces and business logic.
• Develop strategies to optimise Pega applications for performance, scalability and maintainability.
• Diagnose and resolve intricate technical issues.
• Work with Customer Journey Experts, Architects and other stakeholders to gather and translate requirements.
• Mentor and guide junior developers.
• Identify process improvements and apply best practices.

Required profile

• 5+ years of extensive experience in Pega development.
• Pega certification as Certified Senior System Architect (CSSA) or Certified Lead System Architect (CLSA) preferred but not mandatory.
• Fluent English speaking and writing, and strong communication skills.
• Ability to reach a clear conclusion on ideas and opinions to support decision-making.
• Experience in a complex, regulated environment such as a large financial institution.

Required skills

• Comprehensive understanding of Pega rules, classes, flows and data structures.
• Advanced knowledge of Pega platform architecture and design principles.
• Expertise in Pega integration patterns and best practices.
• Agile / Scrum / DevOps project experience.
• Conceptual and architectural understanding, with up-to-date knowledge of new technologies.
