Business Analyst - US Spark

About the role

ING Hubs Philippines is looking for a Business Analyst to join the Tribe Granular Reporting (GR) squad. The role focuses on data management, data requirements, data definition and mapping, data onboarding and data modelling for business-related topics. You will act as an expert, helping data consumers get standard, high-quality data products and services.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze Federal Reserve (FED) reporting requirements and internal reporting needs together with ING colleagues in the USA, and turn them into clear data needs and non-functional specifications.
• Work hands-on with data management, data quality and data modelling, and deepen your knowledge in your area of expertise.
• Take part in the maintenance, development and delivery of current and new requirements and services, supporting stakeholders with reconciliation, UAT and operational requests.
• Collaborate with data modelers and data engineers in the FRIDA team to integrate data from various systems.
• Validate data against FED reporting and internal reporting standards; prior experience with FED reporting and US accounting policies is highly advantageous.
• Contribute to UAT plans and test scenarios.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in (business) economics or a comparable field.
• Experience as an experienced analyst working hands-on with data management in a banking context.
• Knowledge of financial markets, group treasury and lending products, and of regulatory and statutory reporting.
• Agile way of working, with impact analysis, configuration and testing.
• English communication skills.

Required skills

• SQL and MS Excel at a proficient level.
• Data modelling: interpreting logical and conceptual models and explaining them in natural language.
• Regression and user acceptance testing.
• Building and maintaining data requirements for statutory and regulatory reporting.
• Reconciling, UAT, data quality and reporting.
