Senior Para-Broker (AU Mortgage - Remote)

About the role

A growing Australian mortgage brokerage specialising in residential lending, construction finance, refinancing and investment lending is hiring a Senior Para-Broker to work remotely during Australian business hours. The role sits alongside the Principal Broker, owning the lending journey from enquiry through to formal approval, and offers the chance to mentor future offshore team members as the business grows.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the complete front-end mortgage process from enquiry through to formal approval, keeping comprehensive file notes and handing them over to the Australian settlements team.
• Structure lending solutions for Construction Loans, Self-Employed Borrowers, Guarantor Loans and other complex residential lending scenarios.
• Liaise directly with Australian clients, lenders, Business Development Managers and credit assessors to progress applications and negotiate policy outcomes.
• Research lender policy, recommend commercially sound solutions and manage files with minimal supervision.
• Identify improvements to workflows, systems and templates, and mentor future offshore team members.

Required profile

• At least 5 years of Australian mortgage broking experience as a Senior Para-Broker.
• Strong understanding of the mortgage process from client discovery to settlement, and extensive experience with the loan types listed above.
• Outstanding written and verbal English, with confidence communicating with Australian clients, lenders and BDMs.
• Natural ownership, critical thinking, organisation under pressure and a desire for long-term growth.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Broker Engine, Mercury and FLEX.
