Senior Mobile Engineer (iOS)

About the role

ING Hubs Philippines is looking for a Senior Mobile Engineer specialized in iOS to join its iOS Chapter within the mobile development IT Engineering department. You will work in a collaborative environment, interacting with leadership and cross‑functional teams across multiple ING apps.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high‑performance iOS applications following best‑practice design principles.
• Take full ownership of features, improve existing functionality, and keep documentation up to date.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders and developers to clarify requirements and shape architecture.
• Conduct code reviews, mentor junior engineers, and promote best practices across the mobile community.
• Contribute to the evolution of the overall mobile architecture and ensure quality through test automation.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of the iOS software development lifecycle.
• Experience creating and using iOS frameworks.
• Proficiency with version‑control systems, especially Git.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work in cross‑cultural settings.

Required skills

• Swift programming language.
• Custom UI development with UIKit and SwiftUI.
• Dependency management using Swift Package Manager.
• Accessibility implementation (VoiceOver, DynamicType).
• Test automation and CI/CD pipelines.
• Proficiency with Xcode and Instruments.
• Solid understanding of SOLID principles and design patterns such as MVVM, Coordinator, and modular architecture.
• Mobile security best practices.
• Familiarity with emerging technologies like Combine and modern Swift concurrency.
