Senior Electrical Design Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to lead the design and documentation of power, lighting, emergency, grounding, and low‑voltage systems for building projects. The role involves close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams across global offices and mentoring junior engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and review electrical designs, calculations, drawings, and schedules ensuring compliance with international standards.
• Oversee BIM modelling and documentation in Revit MEP and AutoCAD, delivering coordinated outputs.
• Collaborate with mechanical, structural, architectural, and BIM teams in design coordination meetings and workshops.
• Provide technical guidance and review support to junior engineers and BIM modelers.
• Promote sustainable design practices and suggest workflow improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and registration as a Electrical Engineer.
• 5–7 years of professional experience in electrical building services design.
• Proven ability to manage design packages independently within consultancy or engineering projects.
• Experience working with multidisciplinary and international teams.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Autodesk Revit MEP and AutoCAD.
• Experience with ETAP, Dialux or similar electrical design software.
• Strong understanding of electrical system design principles (power, lighting, emergency, grounding, low‑voltage).
• Knowledge of international codes and standards such as IEC, IEEE, NFPA, BS, NEC.
• BIM modelling and coordination expertise.
