Senior Design Engineer – Structural & Bridge

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Design Engineer to lead the structural and bridge design of large‑scale infrastructure and marine facility projects. The role involves close coordination with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high‑quality design outputs that align with construction schedules and client expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Take full responsibility for bridge and highway design, including review and approval of technical documents.
• Coordinate with design, project management, construction, QA/QC and control teams to ensure timely delivery.
• Lead, mentor and provide technical guidance to a team of Design Engineers.
• Prepare, review and approve correspondence, reports and letters related to design issues.
• Design all structural elements (RC, prestressed/post‑tensioned concrete, steel, composite) from foundations to superstructure.
• Ensure compliance with Design Process Plan and relevant codes (BS, ASTM, AASHTO, Philippine standards).
• Liaise with clients, contractors, consultants and authorities to resolve technical issues.
• Support tender and proposal stages with methodology, risk assessment and pricing inputs.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in large‑scale infrastructure projects, including design and analysis.
• Proven ability to lead and mentor engineering teams.
• Strong communication skills for interfacing with clients, contractors and regulatory bodies.
