Senior Concrete & Formwork Estimator

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Concrete & Formwork Estimator to lead the full estimating process for concrete and formwork packages on high‑value construction projects. The role involves managing tender submissions from initial review through detailed takeoffs to final pricing, working closely with project managers, engineers, suppliers and subcontractors.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse architectural and structural drawings to define concrete and formwork scope.
• Perform detailed quantity takeoffs for concrete volumes, reinforcement tonnages and formwork areas.
• Develop cost models covering materials, labour, plant, subcontractors and project risks.
• Obtain competitive pricing from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Prepare tender submissions with breakdowns, methodology statements and risk assessments.
• Review estimates for constructability and compare with historical data.
• Support project teams with cost monitoring, variation assessment and progress claims.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of hands‑on estimating experience in concrete and formwork for commercial or infrastructure projects.
• Proven track record preparing tenders for concrete packages valued above $2 million.
• Deep knowledge of Australian and international concrete construction standards, mix designs, placement methods and quality control.
• Experience with complex formwork systems such as climbing forms, table forms and architectural finishes.
