Construction Estimator – Residential & Multi‑Family Projects

About the role

The client is a residential and commercial construction firm seeking a detail‑oriented Construction Estimator/Takeoff Specialist. You will work remotely with a focus on U.S. building practices, interpreting blueprints for homes and multi‑family projects, performing material take‑offs, and coordinating with vendors and subcontractors.

Key responsibilities

• Read and analyze architectural and structural blueprints for residential and multi‑family projects, flagging discrepancies.
• Perform accurate material take‑offs to determine quantities and project requirements.
• Draft clear Request for Information (RFI) documents to resolve plan ambiguities.
• Manage communication with vendors and subcontractors, solicit and review price quotations.
• Apply current U.S. building codes and construction standards to all estimates.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in construction estimating and material take‑offs.
• Strong ability to read complex residential and multi‑family drawings.
• Deep knowledge of U.S. building practices, codes, and methodologies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in U.S. English.
• Professional demeanor and ability to coordinate between field staff, management, and external suppliers.
