Senior Backend Engineer (Golang) – Hybrid Morning Shift

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Backend Engineer with strong Golang expertise to design and build high-performance, cloud-native services. The role will focus on creating scalable micro-services and event-driven components that support high-traffic applications.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs using Golang.
• Build and support micro-services and event-driven architectures, integrating messaging systems such as Kafka.
• Develop RESTful and gRPC APIs, and ensure reliable communication between services.
• Deploy, monitor, and manage containerised applications with Docker and Kubernetes (EKS preferred).
• Collaborate with DevOps, QA, Product and Engineering teams to implement CI/CD pipelines.
• Troubleshoot production incidents, optimise performance, and contribute to architecture discussions.

Required profile

• Proven experience in backend development with Golang.
• Hands-on experience building APIs, micro-services, or distributed systems.
• Familiarity with Kafka or similar event-driven technologies.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes (EKS a plus) and cloud platforms such as AWS.
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins) and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CloudFormation) is desirable.
• Strong problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills.
