Senior Associate, Clearing Operations (Night Shift)

About the role

LCH Ltd, part of LSEG's Post Trade division, is looking for a Senior Associate, Clearing Operations (Night Shift) in its new Manila office, launched in 2024 alongside offices in London, New York, Sydney and Singapore. The Clearing Operations team handles daily operational processes for SwapClear businesses, manages collateral (cash and non-cash) to reduce counterparty credit risk and supports front-office activities such as reverse repos. The role involves routine but sophisticated day-to-day work across asset classes.

Key responsibilities

• Investigate and resolve trade registration exceptions promptly, ideally within the first two hours of case ownership
• Carry out event management, margin runs, backloading cycles and start-of-day batch processes according to the business checklist
• Complete post-trade lifecycle events such as Give Ups, portfolio transfers and compression services
• Liaise with business partners to resolve member, client, trade source and exchange queries quickly
• Monitor environment performance and work with IT on issue resolution
• Take part in ad-hoc testing and quality gate exercises before technology releases
• Use Synapse, ALC, Murex, MNP and Clearview daily
• Understand default management processes and take part in annual fire drills
• Work with colleagues in other locations, manage your own workload and raise incidents with line management
• Produce daily, weekly and ad-hoc MIS reports and take part in internal audit reviews as needed

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accountancy, Mathematics, Economics or a related discipline
• Experience in an operations role within a financial services or FMI environment
• Knowledge of collateral, OTC derivatives and/or central clearing processes
• Experience in a collateral or cash management role at an investment bank, clearing house or custodian; some knowledge of OTC derivatives (interest rate swaps) and familiarity with SWIFT is beneficial
• Prior migration experience is desirable

• Good oral and written communication, detail-oriented with strong numerical and analytical skills
• Ability to understand technical complexity of clearing processes and a risk and control mindset
• Strong learning ability, multitasking and prioritisation
• Desirable: MS Office with advanced Excel, Swift Alliance Message Management, CREST, Clearstream, EuroClear, BONY, Calypso, Microsoft Power Platform and SQL
