Manager, Post Trade Optimisation Services Business Operations

About the role

LSEG's Quantile (LSEG Post Trade Solutions) is a rapidly expanding business offering sophisticated algorithms that rebalance and reduce risk in financial markets. The Manager, Optimisation Services Business Operations (Post Trade) combines hands-on operational delivery with day-to-day people leadership. The role oversees operational execution, acts as a first-line escalation point during live optimisation runs and manages a small team of operations analysts.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day workload and priorities of a Business Operations team in line with Product Team objectives, give performance feedback and support development planning, and foster a collaborative, accountable team culture.
• Communicate operational issues and risks to stakeholders, liaise with Service Team Leads on delivery and performance, and present data analysis findings clearly.
• Recommend process improvements to improve efficiency and reduce operational risk.
• Oversee optimisation runs: set up configurations, validate input data, run optimisations, resolve issues, carry out post-run checks, complete trade booking and regulatory reporting, and provide post-run analysis.
• Act as the first-line escalation point during live optimisation runs.
• Support client onboarding, including internal set-up of new clients, scenario running and data analysis, and take part in QA testing of product and process improvements against weekly release schedules.

Required profile

• Experience leading and managing an operational team.
• Bachelor's degree or a degree in a numerate or technical field (Mathematics, Finance, Engineering, Computer Science) or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of investment banking and familiarity with financial products and derivatives (e.g. swaps, FX forwards) is a plus.
• Excellent written English for documentation and internal coordination.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to follow structured processes and meet tight deadlines.

Required skills

• Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP); exposure to Python or SQL is an advantage.
• QA testing and Jira experience is advantageous.
