Senior Android Developer – Payments & EMV

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Android Developer with deep expertise in payment systems to design, develop, and maintain secure Android mobile applications, including POS and SoftPOS solutions. You will own the mobile payment implementation, ensuring compliance with EMV standards and industry security requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop Android applications using Kotlin for POS, SoftPOS, and payment‑enabled solutions.
• Implement and manage EMV transaction flows, including AID configuration, TLV handling, and terminal parameter management.
• Integrate with backend APIs, payment gateways, acquirers, and third‑party SDKs.
• Support scheme certification activities (Visa, Mastercard, BancNet) by executing test cases and resolving issues.
• Ensure compliance with PCI DSS, secure coding standards, and mobile security best practices.
• Troubleshoot transaction‑related problems such as declines, reversals, and communication failures.
• Lead code reviews, enforce clean architecture (MVVM, modularization) and optimize performance, stability, and reliability.
• Provide technical guidance to junior developers and collaborate with cross‑functional teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
• 4‑5 years of Android development experience, preferably in fintech.
• Strong experience with POS or SoftPOS applications and EMV‑based payment systems.
• Proven ability to support scheme certification testing.
• Excellent problem‑solving and communication skills.
