Software Quality Assurance Engineer

About the role

Emerson is seeking a Software Quality Assurance Engineer to join its global Systems and Software organization. You will work within an Agile team to ensure high‑quality, reliable software experiences for customers worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Champion quality throughout the software delivery lifecycle by identifying risks early and supporting release decisions.
• Develop deep understanding of the software platform, customer workflows, integrations and operational use cases to ensure effective test coverage.
• Design, execute and document exploratory, functional, regression, API, integration and end‑to‑end tests.
• Investigate, document and verify defects while collaborating with developers and product owners for resolution.
• Design, develop and maintain automated tests using frameworks such as Playwright, Cypress or Selenium.
• Leverage AI‑enabled tools responsibly for test design, data creation and defect analysis.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 4 years’ experience in software quality assurance, covering both manual and automated testing of complex applications.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, communication and collaboration abilities.

Required skills

• Automation frameworks: Playwright, Cypress, Selenium.
• Programming/scripting: C#, JavaScript, TypeScript, Python or Java.
• SQL and relational database experience for test data management.
• API, integration and end‑to‑end testing expertise.
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps, Git‑based workflows and CI/CD pipelines (preferred).
