Route Planner – Logistics & Distribution

About the role

The Route Planner will design optimal delivery routes for the distribution of goods, balancing distance, delivery windows, vehicle capacities, and cost. You will work closely with drivers, mechanics, and customer service to ensure timely and efficient deliveries while maintaining safety and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare daily delivery route schedules and assign trucks, drivers, and helpers using the established planning system.
• Supervise product loading, verify delivery documents, diesel requests, and vehicle inspection checklists.
• Implement and oversee the truck maintenance program, including preventive and corrective actions.
• Monitor truck registration status and coordinate yearly registration requirements.
• Identify truck issues, request service or repairs with the assistance of mechanics.
• Manage inventory of supplies, tools, diesel, parts, and other resources needed for distribution.
• Coordinate with Customer Service on delivery status, customer requests, and instructions.
• Enforce standard procedures and safety policies for drivers and helpers.
• Control distribution expenses, focusing on labor, fuel, tolls, and repair costs.

Required profile

• Graduate in Engineering, Management, Information Technology or a related field.
• Minimum two (2) years of experience in logistics, air export, or sales/data analysis.
• Strong knowledge of food safety standards such as CGMP and HACCP.

Required skills

• Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, INFOR).
• Understanding of food safety regulations (CGMP, HACCP).
