Resident Geotechnical Engineer – Project P

About the role

We are seeking a Resident Geotechnical Engineer to lead geotechnical activities on Project P, a major infrastructure development. The role involves on‑site supervision, technical review, and risk mitigation for complex ground conditions.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise geotechnical construction works, including drilling, excavation, support systems and instrumentation.
• Interpret and review geotechnical investigation reports, design drawings, method statements and technical specifications.
• Assess construction risks, ground behavior and recommend mitigation measures.
• Prepare detailed reports, documentation and communicate findings to project stakeholders.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure compliance with design and safety standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Geotechnical Engineering.
• 8–10 years of professional experience in civil or geotechnical engineering.
• At least 5 years of direct experience on major infrastructure projects such as dams, tunnels, slopes, embankments or deep excavations.
• Proven experience as a Resident Engineer, Geotechnical Engineer or Site Engineer in construction supervision.

Required skills

• Foundation investigations and interpretation of geotechnical reports.
• Ground improvement techniques (grouting, anchoring, piling, cut‑off walls).
• Soil and rock mechanics, foundation design and treatment.
• Slope stability and excavation support systems.
• Geotechnical instrumentation (piezometers, inclinometers, settlement markers).
• Proficiency with engineering and analysis software and MS Office applications.
