Remote Ophthalmologist – Clinical Chart Review

About the role

Snapscale is looking for a qualified Ophthalmologist to provide remote clinical support for a U.S.-based healthcare practice. The position focuses on reviewing patient charts and ophthalmic records, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and compliance with clinical protocols.

Key responsibilities

• Review patient medical charts and ophthalmology records for completeness and accuracy.
• Evaluate diagnoses, treatment history, medications, test results, imaging, and other clinical information.
• Identify missing, inconsistent, or incomplete information and recommend follow‑up actions.
• Provide clinical input based on established protocols and documented findings.
• Maintain accurate, organized documentation that complies with clinic standards and HIPAA regulations.
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams regarding chart‑related concerns.

Required profile

• Valid, active license to practice as an Ophthalmologist or Optometrist in the relevant jurisdiction.
• Previous experience in an ophthalmology practice or similar healthcare setting.
• Experience reviewing medical charts, clinical records, or ophthalmic documentation.
• Strong clinical judgment, attention to detail, and excellent written communication.
• Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality requirements.
• Reliable internet connection and a dedicated remote workspace.
