Reliability Engineer – Automotive Semiconductor

About the role

onsemi is looking for a self‑driven Reliability Engineer to support automotive semiconductor products. The role combines device characterization, reliability stress operations, and data analysis to ensure product quality for the automotive market.

Key responsibilities

• Organize, document and execute device reliability stress activities and generate stress reports.
• Develop qualification plans for process changes in assembly, packaging and fab, and manage the full qualification lifecycle.
• Provide reliability risk assessments for manufacturing‑related quality issues and qualification failures.
• Plan and run daily reliability monitor processing, including environmental stressing and electrical testing.
• Perform device characterization and work with cutting‑edge technologies such as Silicon Carbide.
• Collaborate with engineers and technicians, and present technical results to internal teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Electrical‑Electronics, Mechatronics or related engineering field (Master’s preferred).
• 2+ years (or 3+ years for master’s) experience in a semiconductor manufacturing or reliability environment.
• Strong problem‑solving, organizational and communication skills.
• Familiarity with automotive reliability specifications such as AQG324, AEC Q100, Q101.
