Relationship Manager – Retail Banking

About the role

The Relationship Manager will design, plan and execute sales and marketing strategies to grow Union Bank's retail banking portfolio, increase the number of depositors and achieve business volume targets while working closely with service and operations teams.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and lead business generation programs to expand the account base and total funds portfolio.
• Conduct market surveys to identify prospective clients, assess their banking needs and benchmark against competitors.
• Present tailored banking solutions to prospects and submit detailed call reports to the Regional Business Head.
• Maintain regular contact with existing clients to gauge satisfaction, explore cross‑selling opportunities and strengthen relationships.
• Provide standing instructions to branch staff on relationship management and coach them on cross‑selling techniques.
• Formulate strategies to meet volume and budget targets, and monitor their execution.
• Screen and evaluate credit worthiness for products such as credit cards, auto loans, mortgages, business lines and bills purchase, and endorse applications with proper documentation.
• Leverage support units to convert leads, generate deposits and deliver competitive products.
• Ensure prompt resolution of customer requests, suggestions and complaints.
• Co‑sign transaction documents within authorized limits and help project a progressive, efficient bank image.

Required profile

• Proven experience in retail banking sales or relationship management.
• Strong understanding of banking products including deposits, credit cards, loans, mortgages and business lines.
• Ability to conduct market analysis and identify client needs.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Collaborative mindset to work with branch and support teams.
• Sound judgment in credit assessment and documentation.
