Relationship Manager - Business Banking

About the role

The Relationship Manager – Business Banking will generate new commercial loans, grow and maintain an existing loan portfolio, and cross‑sell the bank’s products and services. The role focuses on delivering professional account management while preserving asset quality and meeting profitability targets.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct credit evaluations, including client calls and on‑site inspections, to assess business viability and collateral.
• Recommend and structure credit facilities in line with bank policies and risk appetite.
• Identify and target credit‑worthy customers, market banking products, and tailor financial packages to client needs.
• Develop the existing portfolio through annual reviews of credit facilities and suitability assessments.
• Expand relationships with prime accounts by increasing deposits, collateral, and loan utilisation.
• Monitor loan portfolio quality and work to maximise return on resources.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business, Accounting or Commerce; MBA or MA preferred.
• At least two years of banking experience or five years in a related industry.
• Working knowledge of international and local trade payments, bank service policies, and credit approval processes.
• Strong analytical abilities for financial and profitability analysis.
• Proficiency in basic MS Office applications.
• Excellent oral and written communication, marketing and presentation skills, and interpersonal abilities.
