Purchasing Officer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced and detail‑oriented Purchasing Officer to manage both local and international procurement for our growing company. The role involves maintaining optimal inventory levels, coordinating shipments, and ensuring we obtain the best value from our suppliers.

Key responsibilities

• Handle procurement of local and international supplies required by the company.
• Prepare and submit accurate Purchase Orders using the company’s software system.
• Evaluate supplier quotations, conduct price comparisons, and negotiate competitive pricing and terms.
• Monitor inventory and stock levels, identifying purchasing requirements based on operational, quarterly, and annual needs.
• Track purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of goods.
• Coordinate transportation of goods with nominated freight forwarders.
• Compare received deliveries against purchase orders and resolve discrepancies with vendors.
• Prepare cost and landed‑cost analyses.
• Maintain updated records of supplier contracts, invoices, costs, quantities, and other purchasing data.
• Prepare supplier Statements of Account for finance processing.
• Manage logistics to ensure shipping methods are safe, efficient, reliable, and cost‑effective.

Required profile

• At least 2 years of experience in importation, shipment coordination, and both local and international procurement.
• Strong negotiation and vendor‑management abilities.
• Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and capable of handling multiple orders and suppliers.
• Ability to commute to or relocate to Quezon City before starting work.

Required skills

• Knowledge of NetSuite (highly preferred).
