Property Management Accountant

About the role

OurAssistants is seeking a detail‑oriented Property Management Accountant to support the financial operations of U.S.‑based property management clients. The role is fully remote and requires independent management of accounting tasks while collaborating with property managers.

Key responsibilities

• Manage rent ledgers, tenant payments, and perform account reconciliations.
• Execute bank reconciliations, process AP/AR transactions, and maintain accurate financial records.
• Prepare monthly financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and P&L reports.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, cash‑flow tracking, and ensure compliance with U.S. property management accounting standards.
• Coordinate month‑end and year‑end closing activities and maintain digital financial files.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in property management accounting.
• Strong analytical ability, attention to detail, and excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and reside in the Philippines or Latin America.
• CPA or U.S. Accounting Certification preferred but not required.

Required skills

• Proficiency with AppFolio.
• Proficiency with QuickBooks.
