Project Activity Lead - PASSAGE Seaweed Project, Philippines

About the role

People in Need (PIN), a Czech NGO providing humanitarian and development assistance, is looking for a Project Lead for its PASSAGE project in the Philippines. The project builds a regenerative, traceable seaweed hub model to professionalize smallholder production, stabilize supply chains and strengthen compliance with social and environmental standards. The role leads a project team, coordinates with partner organizations and ensures the overall quality of the project, which covers Mindanao and BARMM, Palawan and the Visayas. The contract is 24 months with the possibility of extension, based in Manila and reporting to the Country Director.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the full project management cycle of PASSAGE, covering six provinces, and provide strategic oversight of objectives and results
• Guide implementation with detailed work plans, realistic timelines and adaptive management, and coordinate consortium partners and co-applicants
• Conduct regular field monitoring visits and give technical guidance to project teams and beneficiaries
• Lead, supervise and coach the project team, manage performance and promote capacity building
• Provide technical leadership in rural development, sustainable livelihoods and agri-aqua value chains, and support PIN's agriculture and aquaculture portfolio in the Philippines
• Work with the MEAL Manager on monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning, including data collection, analysis, reporting and feedback mechanisms
• Integrate gender equality, disability and social inclusion (GEDSI) and safeguarding (PSEAH) principles, and identify and mitigate programmatic, operational, compliance and partnership risks
• Oversee budget management, expenditure tracking, cash flow and budget forecasting
