Project Engineer – Project-Based Role

About the role

The Project Engineer will plan, coordinate and deliver engineering and construction projects from concept through commissioning and post‑implementation review. Working within the Innovations and Technology team, you will partner with operations, quality, safety, procurement and external contractors to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget and to the highest standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed project plans covering scope, milestones, schedule and resources.
• Manage execution to achieve on‑time, in‑full (OTIF) delivery.
• Support technical risk assessments and represent Engineering in TRA meetings.
• Coordinate with cross‑functional teams and external contractors for design, execution, commissioning and handover.
• Track budgets, forecast capex, control spend and produce regular financial reports.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Industrial Engineering or a related field.
• 2‑3 years of project engineering experience in FMCG, manufacturing, construction or similar industries.
• Experience across design, execution, commissioning and equipment start‑up.
• Exposure to contractor coordination and site supervision.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
• Experience using project planning tools such as MS Project or Primavera P6.
• Familiarity with CAD tools for design review, e.g., AutoCAD or Revit.
