Project Engineer (Project-Based)

About the role

The Project Engineer will plan, coordinate and deliver engineering and construction projects from concept through commissioning and post‑implementation review. Reporting to the Innovations and Technology Manager, the role works closely with cross‑functional teams to ensure projects are completed safely, on time and within budget.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed project plans covering scope, milestones, schedule and resources.
• Manage project execution to achieve on‑time, in‑full (OTIF) delivery.
• Support technical risk assessments and track risk mitigation actions to closure.
• Coordinate with operations, R&D, quality, SHE, finance, procurement and external contractors.
• Track budgets, forecast capex, control spend and report financial performance.
• Oversee design review, site supervision, equipment installation and commissioning.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Industrial Engineering or a related field.
• 2‑3 years of project engineering experience in FMCG, manufacturing, construction or related industries.
• Experience across design, execution, commissioning and handover phases.
• Exposure to contractor coordination and site supervision.
• Budget tracking and capex governance experience.
