Project Assistant – Operational Foresight & Climate Displacement

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) in the Philippines is seeking a Project Assistant to support the Operational Foresight and Local Preparedness programme focused on climate‑related displacement. The role will work under the Head of Programmes, with technical guidance from the National Emergency and Preparedness Officer and administrative supervision from the National Project Officer.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the team in implementing activities under the Risk Index for Climate Displacement and the Climate Catalytic Fund.
• Engage with stakeholders and communities, support service monitoring and data collection.
• Prepare communication letters, field reports, attendance sheets and other project documentation.
• Provide logistical support for field missions, trainings and coordination meetings.
• Maintain and organise the project database, files, tools and records to ensure accurate documentation.
• Coordinate with community members and local stakeholders to facilitate field activities.
• Support emergency response teams during disaster response and perform any other related duties as assigned.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum four years of relevant experience in project support, data collection or logistical coordination.
• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse partners and communities.
• Strong organisational and documentation skills.
