Procurement Officer – Sourcing & Travel Coordination

About the role
The Procurement Officer will lead and develop canvassing and sourcing strategies that align with the organization’s mission of partnership, community involvement and poverty reduction. The role also ensures that all staff travel arrangements – flights, accommodation and transport – are managed efficiently, cost‑effectively and in compliance with internal policies and vendor agreements.
Key responsibilities
- Assist the Procurement Senior Officer in directing the team and implementing sourcing standards.
- Develop and recommend sourcing strategies to maintain the foundation’s competitive edge.
- Screen and process approved Purchase Requisitions, acting as the primary contact for assigned PRs and POs.
- Coordinate with the Operations team and other units to ensure smooth internal client relationships.
- Monitor team activities to guarantee high satisfaction of requesting units.
- Serve as the BAC Secretariat, ensuring proper documentation of all procurements.
- Maintain and enhance supplier relationships and manage critical sourcing documents.
- Support recruitment, training, motivation and evaluation of team members.
- Perform any additional tasks assigned by the supervisor or management.
Required profile
- Experience in procurement, supplier management and travel coordination.
- Strong communication skills with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to work collaboratively with operations and other departments.
- Attention to detail in documentation and compliance.
