Procurement Engineer

About the role

Meralco is seeking a Procurement Engineer to lead contract creation, execution and analysis across a wide range of services that support its power distribution operations. The role focuses on maximizing financial and operational performance while minimizing risk in areas such as substation works, transmission lines, and various support services.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and execute category plans and strategies in line with ERC Asset Procurement Guidelines.
• Facilitate contract creation, execution, vendor selection, bid evaluation and purchase order release.
• Manage contracts and maintain vendor relationships to ensure optimal performance.
• Collaborate with internal offices to enforce supply‑chain policies and support quality‑management programs.

Required profile

• Licensed Electrical, Mechanical or Industrial Engineer.
• Minimum of 1 year progressive experience in supply‑chain or procurement roles.
• Ability to work with other business units and coordinate joint activities.
• Experience creating and maintaining databases and handling spreadsheets.

Required skills
